Towing begins again at 2 a.m. for snow removal

Crews will be removing snow north and south of the immediate Downtown area overnight Monday, January 14, 2019. Vehicles parked in tow-away zones will be removed. Follow all posted signs. 

Towing will begin at 2  a.m. and will impact areas south of Burlington Street to Prentice Street between Linn and Capitol streets. Crews will also be on the Northside from Jefferson to Bloomington streets, between Clinton and Gilbert streets. 

Vehicles can be moved to a Downtown Parking ramp, or to on-street parking spaces outside of the area. 

Early Sunday morning, crews towed vehicles and cleared snow in the Downtown area, including Clinton Street, Dubuque Street, Linn Street, Iowa Avenue, Washington Street and College Street. 

If your vehicle is towed, contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. Do not call 911.
